Across the Commonwealth, educating girls is one of the most transformative investments a country can make. When girls are educated, they are more likely to become economically independent, healthier, and community-minded citizens. The Commonwealth Countries League (CCL) has long championed this cause through its support for the Commonwealth Girls Education Fund (CGEF), offering scholarships and mentorship to academically gifted girls who lack financial means. In many parts of the Commonwealth, girls still face barriers to accessing quality education due to poverty, cultural expectations, or lack of infrastructure. By supporting girls’ education, we invest not only in individuals but in entire communities. Educated girls are empowered girls—future leaders, innovators, and changemakers.
